International Relations Talk by British Ambassador at De Montfort University Cambodia
De Montfort University Cambodia (DMUC) was honoured to welcome H.E. Dominic Williams, British Ambassador to Cambodia, as a distinguished IFY guest speaker for a special session on International Relations and Diplomatic Services. Held on Wednesday, 25th February 2026, at the DMUC campus, the event brought together students eager to gain real-world insights into diplomacy, global affairs, and international cooperation.
H.E. Dominic Williams joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in 2005 and has served in several key diplomatic missions, including France, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Peru, and Nigeria. His extensive international experience provided students with valuable perspectives on diplomatic strategy, global partnerships, and the evolving role of international relations in today’s interconnected world.
The session was an inspiring and educational experience for IFY students, reinforcing DMUC’s commitment to delivering a globally relevant British education in Cambodia. By hosting influential leaders such as the British Ambassador, DMUC continues to strengthen its academic environment through direct engagement with international experts and practitioners in diplomacy and public service.
