DMUC Computing Students Site Visit to Campu Bank: Learning Digital Banking in Practice

On 24 February 2026, DMUC Computing students participated in a site visit to Cambodian Public Bank (Campu Bank), gaining first-hand exposure to the role of technology within modern banking operations. The visit allowed students to observe how computing knowledge connects with financial services, particularly in areas such as digital banking platforms, data security and system integration within the banking industry.

Campu Bank, established in 1992, is one of Cambodia’s well-known commercial banks, providing a wide range of financial services including deposits, loans and digital banking solutions designed to improve customer experience and accessibility. As part of the Malaysian Public Bank Group, the bank focuses on innovation and customer-centric services, offering mobile banking apps and online financial platforms that demonstrate how technology continues to transform banking operations.

During the visit, students gained practical insights into real-world applications of computing in finance — from cybersecurity awareness and digital transaction systems to user-focused banking applications. Experiences like this reinforce DMUC’s emphasis on experiential learning, helping students connect academic theory with industry practice while preparing them for careers in technology-driven sectors.
